I have to laugh.  I shared my first project on my $2 Japanese child's loom on my friends in a Yahoo group called Vintageclothdollmaking.  The loom must have caught MaryN's interest because a couple weeks later she is telling everyone in the group that it's MY fault that she has bought every small loom known to man. LOL!  She bought the following:

And you can probably find most of these on Amazon, so it will be easy to look at them...

One is a regular kid's potholder .. I found out about the cutest purses, etc. you can make from them and more.  A child should have a lot of fun with this simple weaving loom.

Schacht Cricket Student Loom ... which I probably learned about this one in the book: Woven Treasures by Sara Lamb...

Back Strap Weaving (loom) ... A tiny little thing that fits in a small plastic bag but it does wonderful things in a simple way...  Shown in You Can Weave: Projects For Young Weavers, Monaghan.....
Cardboard Looms which you can make or buy.    Here's a link where you can buy assorted sizes.
I LOVE! the Cardboard Looms because you can wrap the warping thread completely over and under the sturdy "chip board" and start weaving the front but continue on around the back and weave it round and round and round.  When you slip it off the cardboard you have a purse that has no seams!  This is in:  Weaving Without A Loom, Burningham  ..... one of my favorite books.
STICK WEAVING:  Buy the book:  Weaving Without A Loom ... you can learn to set up a picture frame to make a loom.  You can learn to weave with 5 little sticks.  I have my 5 little sticks which I will soon be using.
Card Weaving ... Looks fascinating and possibly complicated.  Bought my weaving cards from LACI'S in San Francisco and they have books under this same title.  Once I'm better at weaving I will tackle this project.
INKLE Loom which I didn't need and couldn't resist:  Mine is in transit from THE WOOLERY....  I bought the Ashford InkleLoom.  Amazon has books by putting into search:  Inkle LoomWeaving ...
I'm making what you see in the picture right now.
which is just a little bigger than the Peg Loom....
I LOVE! The Woven Bag, Crone-Findlay because this woman LOVES to work on small looms.  She has fun ideas for the children's potholder loom, makes cord from 2-peg, 3-peg and 4-peg spool looms.  Unbelievable stuff from the common potholder loom, peg loom, Schacht Mini Loom
You can look on Amazon, or Dick Blick, or The Woolery ... I also love Harrisville Designs...
Frame Loom such as Schacht School Loom ...
KIDS WEAVING, SWETT:  is wonderful!  Shows you how to make a PVC pipe loom.  The plans are also free online and there are a number of pictures of this loom online.
CRAFTY CONTAINERS: is a fun, fun, fun book telling you how to make containers from cardboard, empty coca-cola bottles and plastic bags cut into strips.  I hope to do this one in the next day-or-two.

So MaryN has been very busy. What is wonderful about her new addiction is that her 6 year old granddaughter is very interested in weaving so Mary is teaching her as she learns to weave!!
